BioReMo Summer

The May meeting of representatives from the Czech and Austrian partners of the Interreg AT-CZ BioReMo project took place in the pleasant surroundings of the renovated school in Havraníky, in the Podyjí region. Among other things, the purpose of the meeting was to brief the partners on the progress of work on implementing the activities planned for the project’s second year. For the Landscape Research Institute, these activities primarily involve testing methods for collecting forestry data in accordance with the established methodology for monitoring forest habitats.

BioReMo 2026

During the spring months of this year, detailed dendrometric measurements of standing and fallen tree trunks were conducted at selected sites in the Podyjí National Park and the Thayatal National Park. For this purpose, projects for these sites were created in QGIS based on data obtained through aerial and ground-based scanning. Currently, observations are being conducted at these sites to monitor the development of selected components of forest biodiversity. We plan to present the results of our research as early as September at a scientific conference organized by our project partner, the Podyjí National Park.
